Now! I am not saying go out there and shout at people like Gordon does No.

My leadership style is right to the other end of the scale, but we are both doing exactly the same thing only completely different personalities and styles.

Gordon Ramsey is Brilliant at his job that includes not just being a great chef, but also leading and managing people.

What we have got to remember is that that Gordon commands respect, for not only his success running his own business, but also make a success of other people’s business when they are about to fail.(and in most cases losing bucketloads of money)

Gordon creates minor miracles by turning these companies around time after time. It is Not luck but

Brilliant leadership and People Management

If you watch Gordon’s programmes you will realise that all the main characters (the Boss) have completely different styles.

Head in the Sand

Bullying

Two Faced

Always Right

Short Sighted

Reluctant to lead

Cannot delegate

Quiet as a mouse dislikes confrontation

I told you so

Will not listen

Controling  Telling not Selling

Dishonest

And there are loads more , you all know them unfortunately there are more bad than good.

Right, back to Gordon,  What does he do?

First of all he sits on the other side and sees himself has a customer ,checks out the quality and the service. Which in general is very poor.

Once he know’s this then he can set the direction for where it should be going.

He asks direct questions to All the staff in order to establish their important opinion.

He will then ask the boss his opinion.

This is Gordon at his best when he is brutally honest and giving the boss redirection .Ok sometimes it makes you cringe , but in 99.% of the cases it works.

Gordon delegates , heaps praise where it is due , coaches , shows respect when people earn it , and in turn gains respect from all,meanwhile directing and mentoring the boss.

He will always give credit when credit is due and a good bollicking when they are due , but the team are always far more customer focused and willing to work with the boss when he has finished.

Gordon is a family man and a successfull business man and an all round good guy ,who gets the job done, he does not treat males any different to females but as I said earlier to not try to emulate Gordon only he can be himself. You must first of all be honest with yourself ,admit your mistakes be willing to change but you must be yourself.

So what I am suggesting his to watch Gordon .Take note of the many negative styles of leadership he comes across, and how he deals with them .

Then ask yourself what part of them is me?

Look Listen and Learn and then ask yourself How could I adopt and adapt Gordon’s
